Blokes can probably stop reading right now......but my biggest dilemma at the moment is how many and what sort of shoes to take, plus what sort of handbag or backpack or neck lanyard/wallety thingo I need!!! Katie tells me I only need 4 pairs of shoes but I know I need more......(if I didn't have to fly home this would be so much easier).
My concern is the different types of sightseeing we will be doing while away, from bus tours to kayaking, to wandering around Rome and Florence and London, to traipsing ruins in Aqaba, Pompeii and Masada, to needing to cover feet and ankles whilst visiting Mosques. So I need waterproof shoes in case we capsize our kayak, walking shoes for cities and ruins, shoes for the ship, shoes for dressing up a bit, and extra shoes that a girl just needs
The said same tours have me quite confused as to a backpack or handbag or neck thingo. Might take all 3 I think, (but not use all 3 at once), now just need to work out what sort. The Internet is an overload of information on hundreds of backpacks and handbags that are pickpocket resistant, myriad different styles and sizes and don't get me started on colours! Actually shoes are an easy choice - its the bags that are doing me in. Just need to make a choice, buy them and then I can move on...............
And I earlier thought choosing tours was hard. All this with only 45 days to go.............yikes.
I am a man - and I do understand about the shoes dilemma. Because - we did the same voyage as you - Australia to UK on Oriana. It was a more "Formal
ReplyDelete" ship than we have cruised on before - so I was a bit "over the top" about the jackets that I took with us. 6 of them!! Tux, suit, and 4 sports jackets. Just as well we didn't have any aircraft travel as part of the trip.
